In the beginning, we all have two characteristics that set our team up for success. The first is our intrinsic motivation and the second is our extrinsic motivation. The two are not the same. Intrinsic motivation is that which we feel we are good at and can accomplish most things without effort. Extrinsic motivation is that which is put on us to get us to do what we do. The two are different.
Both of these characteristics are fundamental to the success of the team. The main goal of the team is to do exactly what we want to do, but we don’t want to end up doing exactly what we are doing. The main goal of the team is to make sure our team stays on top of the game. To do so, we need to do what we are already doing—to do what we are already doing. What we are doing isn’t something we think about or do.
Thats right. Its not what we think about or do that actually makes a difference in the success of the team. What we think about or do is what we do, and that is the difference between the two types of motivation. The agile type of motivation comes about because we know that we are doing what we are doing because it is what we want to do. The other type of motivation comes about when we arent sure how we are going to accomplish our goals.
The agile motivation is a type of motivation that comes from a clear and specific goal. The other type of motivation is a kind of motivation that comes from a vague goal with no specific way of achieving it. It all comes down to the fact that we just dont know how we are going to accomplish that goal.
We tend to like to try to get things done through simple techniques (i.e. the use of maddeningly abstract tools like PowerPoint to build our presentations). But like most of our other techniques, a lot of these are simply hacks at which point that means they arent as effective as they could be. We use our agile motivation for things like how we use our own computers to build presentations.
There are plenty of people who have a great deal of insight into how to build a presentation, but it’s really just a matter of getting your hand held on the right things. In this case, the best thing to do is to look at your own ideas, but not so much that you need to do it yourself.
The best tip that I have for any presentation is to look at the things that you like. Then think about why you like that. Think about the things that you have that you like and those same things that you have that you don’t like. Then find the things that you like and the things that you don’t like. Then try to make them work together.
The problem with this type of thinking is that you are likely to think of one thing as “you’ve seen this before” and another thing as “you’ve never seen this before.” It takes a long time to work out what you like and what you don’t like and then try to bring them together.
Here is a good use for this type of thought: Youve got to be agile (or at least you do if you have not heard of the term agile methods yet). If youve got something that you dont like, you probably have at least two other things that you dont like as well. So you have to figure out which things you dont like and try to find ways to work them together.
This is the thing that is so difficult to do, so I was hoping that I could teach you how to do it in this video. It can be hard, because you have to get your team together and agree on what you dont like and what you do like. But once youve done that, it’s just a matter of picking the right things to combine them with and get them to work together.
