I recently had the pleasure of meeting with a group of people who had been involved with a program that is called the “focusing effect.” It is a simple concept that is explained very simple. When you are doing a task, your brain is thinking about that task. When you are doing something else, the same thing happens. It is the difference between the two that is the “focusing effect.
Let’s say you have a task for a friend to do and you are the one doing it. You are thinking about your task and when you are thinking about your task you are actively focusing. With the focusing effect you can’t focus on just your task, you have to focus on your friend, your best friend, your girlfriend, your dog, your spouse, your next-door neighbor, or even just your hair. This puts your focus on your thoughts, your life, and your future.
The focus effect works because you have to focus on the task you’re focusing on. It’s called the focusing effect.
There are many theories about how the focusing effect works. One that I like is that it’s like a mirror that reflects your thoughts and feelings back at you. I like that theory. The reason I like it is because in reality, people don’t usually think about themselves or their life the way they think about the future.
