I can’t believe how quick we are to start over and begin a new life.
I know we’re all going back to the time-looping game and having a great time, but I wish there was more to go around. I want everyone to know that we are indeed heading in the right direction, and that we are more than just a few people, but we’re not quite there yet.
This is true. A lot of people I know complain about how their lives are becoming increasingly complicated, but I’m going to take a guess and say that they are not actually doing so. There is so much to do, so many people to meet, and so many ideas to be had that life is actually pretty fast and smooth. There is a tendency to complain about how people are becoming more and more “busy.” That has a lot of valid points.
That’s true, and it’s especially true in New York City, where the average person spends about 14 hours a day commuting to/from his/her office. If we could all just give up our office hours, that would be great. I love going to work, and I think the commute is a great part of what makes it such a great city. However, I also think that we should be spending that time doing something other than commuting.
That’s the thing about life in the digital age though, is that you have to deal with this fact much, much sooner than you might think. The internet has made it so easy to check out all of the information you need in order to do whatever you want to do. People are living in an information age in which people seem to be just as capable of doing whatever they want as they ever were.
The problem is that life is so simple, and often the only way to get there is by the time you’re done with your computer. We’re all in the same boat. This may sound like a huge distraction from our job, but we’re all in it together. We’re all on the same page regarding how our lives should be.
Well, maybe not you.
Sometimes we act in ways that cause others to question our motives. It can be difficult to realize that we aren’t acting in the best interests of others, even though we feel it’s in our best interest to do so. I’m not saying that we should always act in a way that doesn’t help other people.
One of the most common reasons we act in a way that hurts other people is when we take advantage of the system we are in. And this is the case in almost all cases. The more you are exploited, the more you will want to be exploited. We can blame the system for our problems, and we can try to make it better, but the world is a cruel and confusing place.
Another reason is that the system makes it easier to take advantage of others. Instead of having a system that gives us a reward, we are often given a system that gives us a penalty, or a system that gives us only a small part of the reward. A system that gives us more money than we need, while ignoring the fact that we already have two cars and two cats, is not a system that gives us what we need.
