I’ve done some real good at the job I’ve held for the last 15 years. I’ve been a successful, sought-after designer, and I’ve built some of the best work I’ve ever done in my life, both in my job and my private life.
I am not trying to imply that you should go find a job that you don’t enjoy. But I can’t help but think that the way you’ve been living your life and the way you’ve been pursuing your career has made you a bit of a hot mess. Most people who make the choice to do this type of work are more than willing to admit that they’re not happy with it, and do everything they can to try to get out of it, no matter how difficult it is.
It’s true. There are all kinds of people who are happy with their jobs, but I think its important to recognize that there are people who aren’t happy with their jobs. It really can be very difficult to get out of a job you hate (although if you don’t hate it, why would you want to do it in the first place?).
With the advent of so many new careers, there a plenty of people who dont like what they do, and make the decision to do something else. Not all of them are unhappy though. For example some people who work in the medical field are unhappy with the job theyre doing because theyre the doctors! Some people are happy with their jobs, but still do something else.
It’s possible to make a lot of changes to your life without having to pay for it. While a lot of people are happy with their jobs, theyre not entirely happy with the life they’ve taken for granted. The reason theyre unhappy is because they don’t know who they are supposed to be. And for some people the job theyre doing is not so important.
This is a common complaint among medical workers. They feel that theyre living in a different time. Theyre bored with the business of medicine, but they’re not bored with this job. They don’t want to be doctors, but they know they’d be happier if they were. The more time you spend doing something, the less happy you feel. Most people don’t even know theyre unhappy with their jobs until it’s too late though.
This is why we have to be a little more careful with our job descriptions. When someone says their job is not very important, we should ask them why. Thats a much better way of finding out if there is something more important to them that they want to be doing. If there is, they need to do it.
We have to think about what they want to be doing, and it’s time to take what we can from them.
So if you’re thinking that your designer job is not that important, you may want to rethink that. Its a lot easier to tell if someone is unhappy with their job than if they are happy with theirs. And you dont need to be a lawyer to tell that.
I think the right way is to listen to them. If they say, “I need to do this” and you don’t, then its hard to argue against that. You can say you can’t do it, but you can’t say you can’t do it. You have to be willing to listen. And if it is an important job, chances are that your designer will say the same thing and you have to go with it.
